I think we all have this point where every questionable, frustrating, and disappointing moment corners us and we see it all together for the first time and it creates this sad story. A story that we have ignored for the longest, a story that we don’t want to be true, but it’s a story that has no other options or alternative endings. When we are faced with such a story we can run from it, suppress it, or face it. Running from it hurts others because no one understands why you made that decision to run and it leaves the hard to heal wound of abandonment. Suppressing it hurts you because the truth is to be shared and when we push it down it becomes toxic within our soul and when it is toxic in our soul it will eventually become toxic within our body. The best option is to face it. Facing it requires the most time and energy in the beginning, but if done right there will not be any residue from the past years later.
